Why should I drink smoothies in the morning?
Yet, you know, eating breakfast is important. It gives you energy and starts your metabolism.
Sets you up for the day, starts your brain working, and all kinds of things.
There are many benefits to fuelling your body first thing in the morning.
What goes in a smoothie
For this recipe, we've chosen berries which we enjoy. You can use a variety, fresh or frozen.
For the milk, I prefer using soya milk, but you can use oat, almond, cow's milk or any other to suit.
What kind of yogurt should I use?
The yogurt is a fat-free Greek Yogurt.
We choose this because it is thicker and creamier, whilst still being fat-free. That is what will give your smoothie a nice creamy taste and texture.
My smoothie isn't very sweet
The honey is optional. Depending on how sweet your fruits are, and of course how sweet your taste is, you can adjust this to taste.
Add a little, blend, and taste.
If you want more, add more, blend, and taste again.
Once you know how much sweetness you like in your smoothie, you can stick to that quantity each time.
At the end of the recipe, you'll have a really simple guide on how to prep your smoothies so you always have the fruits ready each morning. After all, it's one less task to do when you wake up!
So let's get to the recipe and see how easy it is to make this super quick smoothie!
