Blueberries and cream fruit dip is a quick and easy sweet dip bursting with fruit. Made up of cream cheese, fresh cream, and blueberries, ideal for dipping fresh fruits.
Fruity dips are absolutely delicious, quick to make and very flexible with flavors. For this recipe, we've used frozen blueberries. You can use any soft fruits you have in your freezer or fresh. Sometimes I use a frozen smooth mix which I always have in my freezer which has a variety of mixed soft fruits.
Fruit dips are often made up of cream cheese, whipped cream, fruits and sugar. As already mentioned, you can choose whatever soft fruits you like, and instead of cream cheese, you could use mascarpone cheese or sour cream. You can also jazz up the flavor by adding some orange or lemon zest and a flavored extract such as orange or lemon, almond, vanilla etc. The possibilities are endless!
For serving, we've added some suggestions below. We like to use a variety of pretzels, cookies, fresh strawberries, grapes, pineapple cut into finger-sized sticks, and vanilla wafers. You can even use lady-fingers (sponge fingers) if you have those to hand.
So let's get straight to the recipe and see how easy it is to make this delicious blueberry dip.

Serves
12- about 2 tablespoons per serving
Ingredients
1 cup or 150g Fresh or frozen (thawed) blueberries
8 oz or 225g cream cheese, softened
2 Tablespoons powdered sugar (adjust to taste)
½ cup or 120ml heavy / double cream
To serve:
Fresh fruit (such as strawberries, pineapple, grapes, etc.), graham crackers, pretzels, vanilla cookies
Instructions
1. Prepare the blueberries: If using frozen blueberries, thaw of some kitchen paper. Discard the juices. If using fresh blueberries, rinse to clean and dry off on kitchen paper to remove any excess water.
2. Make the cream cheese mixture: In a mixing bowl. Use a mixer to combine the softened cream cheese, and two-thirds of the blueberries.
When combined, stir in the remaining blueberries to the cream cheese mixture and combine.
3. In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
4. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until fully incorporated. Be careful not to deflate the whipped cream too much.
Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld and the dip to firm up slightly.
Serving Suggestions
Once chilled, garnish the dip with more fresh blueberries if desired. Serve the dip alongside a platter of fresh fruit, pretzels, cookies, or graham crackers.
Storage
This fruity dip will keep fresh if covered and refrigerated for 2 days. When ready to use, give it a stir and serve chilled.
