Peanut Butter Rice Cereal Treats are delicious, easy no bake snacks, using just 4 ingredients, flavored with peanut butter and chewy marshmallows and crunchy rice cereal.
When you're craving a sweet snack, these peanut butter rice cereal snacks are the perfect go-to. Using regular pantry ingredients, you can easily whip this up in a matter of minutes with very little effort at all.
These cereal snacks are very easy to make, and you can get the kiddies to help you too! The recipe is really quick and simple, using just 4 basic ingredients, and it's just a case of mixing everything together and letting it set in the fridge for a little while, or even pop in the freezer for 10 minutes if you don't have much time.
These rice krispie treats are great for parties too, and rather than use a square pan, you could pop a tablespoon of the mixture into cupcake liners and allow to set so you have individual portions for sharing at a party or picnic.

Ingredients
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
½ cup or 130g smooth peanut butter
10 oz or 280g package of marshmallows
6 cups or 670g crispy rice cereal
Instructions
- Grease an eight by 8-inch square baking dish with butter or line it with parchment paper. Set aside.
- In a large pot, melt the butter over medium heat.
- Add the peanut butter to the melted butter and stir until smooth and well combined.
- Add the marshmallows to the pot and continue stirring until they are completely melted and the mixture is smooth.
5. Remove the pot from the heat and quickly stir in the Rice Krispies cereal until it is evenly coated with the marshmallow mixture.
6. Transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish and press it evenly into the pan with a spatula or your hands (lightly greased)
7. Allow the treats to cool and set at room temperature for about 30 minutes to an hour.
If you want to speed the chill process up, pop in the freezer for 10 minutes and they should be firm enough to cut.
8. Once cooled and set, cut into squares and serve.
Flavor options
Add melted white or milk chocolate instead of peanut butter
Add some m&m's when you add the cereal or craisins, chopped nuts, or other dried fruits
Swap the rice cereal for cornflakes or similar.
